JaneyHFit Community Events January 2026 & What’s On for February!

At JaneyHFit, I bring my small group classes and nutrition coaching to the local community in and around Banbury. These are the a couple of the organisations that I supported in January 2026 and exciting news about what’s on in February.

Glebefields Care Home Banbury Barchester

It was great working with the team at Glebefields and other local businesses to deliver this inspiring Health and Wellbeing event for the residents and our local community. The day was aimed at providing professional support and fitness guidance for 2026.

I ran a seated exercise class in the morning with bands, balls and upbeat music to get us all moving. As a level 4 personal trainer I understand how to work with clients with health conditions to design safe and effective workouts. This includes diabetes, obesity and joint pain. I’ve specialised in working with older adults including a spritely 85 year old!

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to nutrition, and I shared an insightful talk on healthy eating, providing practical tips for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. We had a fun, interactive quiz to discuss the ‘best’ breakfast options and how food choices tie into individual goals – or maybe you just like cornflakes.

Benazir, General Manager at Glebefields Care Home, said “It was a delight to see so many familiar and new faces from the Banbury community joining us. At Glebefields, we believe in supporting not just our residents, but our neighbours too. Having experts like Jane, Jo, and Kelly share their knowledge for free is exactly what community wellness is all about.”

About Barchester:

At Barchester, we’re more than a care home. We’re a family home. A friendly home, offering the very best care and support from a dedicated and well-trained team. Whether you’re looking for residential, nursing care, on your journey with dementia, or looking for respite care, we’ll always be here to help.

Every day, we help residents continue to lead meaningful lives for as long as possible. We take the time to understand each person’s life story, routines, and what brings them joy to shape their care around their personal needs and wishes.

We celebrate the little things that mean everything – morning, noon and night.

Following an introduction to the work that Sunrise Multicultural Project are involved with through the Women in Business Network (WIBN), I was excited to have the opportunity to deliver a block of 4 classes to the women’s group who meet at Ruscote Community Centre in Banbury.

We discussed the specific needs of the group and I designed a flow with mix of seated and standing exercises that are inspired by my mat Pilates training. The class included resistance bands and balls as well as classic movements, such as the one hundred, adapted to be performed in the chair.

This was a great to get people moving and a challenge for my skills to adapt for mixed ages, abilities and cultures. Lots of sharing and collaboration on social media to promote our offerings. Oh and there was tea, fruit and homecooked food afterwards too!

Pancake day events banbury

The community focus continues in February and I’ll be running (?) in the Pancake Race next week. Hours of training (haven’t) gone into preparing for this event! If you want to be race fit for next year then let me know how I can support your fitness goals.

THE CHALLENGE

Grab your favourite frying pan, tie on an apron (or rock your finest branded company gear), and prepare for a high-speed dash through the park.

MORE THAN JUST A RACE

Once the flour has settled, stick around for some top-tier networking. This isn’t just about the sprint; it’s about the synergy. Join fellow local entrepreneurs and professionals to:

* Mix and Mingle: Connect with the faces behind Banbury’s best businesses

* Toss Ideas Around: Share what’s cooking in your industry

* Build Community: Back our town’s entrepreneurs while expanding your professional circle

Whether you’re a seasoned networker or just here for the pancakes (we won’t judge), it’s the perfect chance to whisk up some new partnerships!

Hope to see you there!
