We’ve all done it.
Signed up for a gym membership with the best intentions… only for life to happen.
Fun social lives, family commitments, busy jobs and low energy levels mean that your routine may disappear for a while.
Suddenly that direct debit becomes less of a motivation tool and makes you feel guilty.
I believe that commitment doesn’t come from being locked into a contract.
It comes from connection, enjoyment, and feeling like you belong.
That’s why I run JaneyHFit classes as pay-as-you-go.
No pressure. No long-term ties. And definitely no guilt or judgement if life throws you off course for a while.
But here’s the interesting thing — my clients still show up consistently. Not because they have to… but because they genuinely want to. This is why I love what I do.
Community Creates Accountability
My community classes create a different kind of accountability.
Not the “I’ve paid for this so I should go” feeling but “these people and sessions make me feel good, so I want to come back”
We share common goals:
- Feeling healthier
- Getting stronger
- Improving confidence
- Moving more
- Having energy for everyday life
And when you’re surrounded by people working towards similar things, it becomes motivating instead of intimidating.

Real People. Real Life.
One thing my clients often tell me is that they like the fact that my classes are welcoming, fun and the time flies by ( I promise they tell me this!)
At 51, I understand real life. Bodies change. Energy changes. Confidence changes. Injuries, busy schedules, stressful weeks — they’re all part of the picture.
My classes aren’t about perfection or trying to keep up with ultra-fit influencers online.
They’re about helping everyday people feel stronger, healthier, and more capable in a supportive environment.
No judgement. No pressure to “look” a certain way.
Just encouragement, movement, and progress at your own pace.
More Than Just Exercise
Yes, the fitness part matters.
But my community classes offer so much more than the workout itself.
They provide:
- Connection
- Routine
- Support
- Laughter
- Familiar faces
- Shared achievement
You simply don’t get the same feeling exercising alone with YouTube in your lounge.
Being part of a group gives people a sense of belonging — and that can be just as important for wellbeing as the exercise itself. It’s great to see the conversations taking place in the breaks and seeing friendships grow.

Feeling Safe and Supported
Another huge benefit of instructor-led community classes is trust.
Before anyone joins my sessions, I ask clients to complete a short, screening form so I understand injuries, health concerns, limitations, or anything else I need to know to keep them safe. Get in touch if you would like a free chat Contact Me
During class, I’m always giving guidance on form, technique, posture, and modifications where needed.
That personal support helps people feel confident exercising — especially if they’re returning after time away from fitness or trying something new.

Pop-Up Classes at Broughton Hall
I’ll also be running pop-up classes at Broughton Hall during the week beginning May 18th, with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions available.

A great opportunity to come along, try a class, meet some lovely people, and experience what community fitness is all about — without any pressure or commitment.
Because sometimes the best motivation isn’t a contract.
It’s finding your people.
